One lonely weekend during the covid lockdowns, Melissa and her soon to be co producer Andrew Frye made a trip to Lake Paradise to visit Doug Deforest in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. The weekend produced a couple of great tunes, but none better that the one Deforest chose as Melissa's first release on Lake Paradise Records. "Peace be still" is really a combination of Melissa's message straight from God himself and a verse from Deforest. Frye captured this beautiful message in the music, and later Deforest took those pieces into the studio and added more to it to create the magic you hear today.
